Funeral services honoring the life of Henry will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 13, 2024, at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Rev. Jim Randall and Ransom Ashley. Honoring Henry as pallbearers will be Michael Randall, Jared Randall, Matthew Randall, Jack Randall, and Justin Green. Interment will be held at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery.
Henry was born and raised in Olla, Louisiana. His parents were heavily involved in many activities in LaSalle Parish, and he had fond memories of growing up there with his family, church, schools, and sports teams.
He served in the US Army and was stationed in Greenland at one point. He is known for telling interesting stories about this time and was proud of his service to his country. After military service, he studied Mechanical Engineering at Kilgore Junior College and Centenary College.
Henry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose love for his family was evident in everything he did. He married Helen Lucille Stutts on December 1, 1962, and they celebrated 56 years of marriage before her passing in 2019. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones and instilled values of faith and kindness in his children and grandchildren.
A former member of Calvary Baptist Church, Henry served as a deacon, long-term member of the building and planning committee, children’s Sunday School teacher, and Missions Director – organizing support for missionaries over many years. Later, his passion for ministry continued at Woodridge Baptist Church, where he supported children and family ministries.
Professionally, Henry made significant contributions at Beaird Industries as a mechanical engineering draftsman and estimator. His attention to detail and expertise brought success to numerous projects throughout his career, earning him the respect of his colleagues.
Henry was an avid sports fan. He coached his sons in multiple areas and passionately followed every sport they, and eventually his grandchildren, pursued – celebrating their achievements and creating lasting memories. Henry was also an enthusiastic fan of all LSU and Florida State athletics (both being the universities of his grandchildren).
Henry was preceded in death by his father, Noah Randall; mother, Genett Randall; wife, Helen Randall; and sister, Linda Phillips. He is survived by his children, Paul Randall, Jim Randall (Jane), and Steve Randall (Amy); grandchildren, Nikki (Jeremy), Thomas, Michael, Shelby (Justin), Jared (Charlee), Matthew, and Jack; great-grandchildren, Keegan and Talia; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
The Randall Family would especially like to thank the staff of Garden Park Nursing Center, Dr. Wen Liu, Dr. Jay Toups, and Ransom Ashley.
The family asks that donations be made to Woodridge Baptist Church, “Operations Christmas Child”, Shreveport, LA.
