Henry Magee

Funeral services for Henry Magee, 79, will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, LA. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Converse, LA at 2:00 p.m. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021 from 9-11 a.m. Henry was born on March 30, 1942 in Converse, LA to Woodrow Seth Magee and Lucy Bernice Sherwood Magee and passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 in Bossier City, LA. Henry was a resident of Bossier and worked in management for Beaird Industries before retiring. He loved raising cows and spending time on his farm in Converse, LA. His other love was NASCAR. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend. He will be sorely missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him. Henry is preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 61 years, Carolyn Magee; son, Mike Magee and wife, Deanna; sister, Martha Lou Trimble; brother-in-law, Darrell Johnson and wife, Debbie; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. The family would like to express special thanks to Regional Hospice for their care and compassion given to Henry. A special thanks to Vanessa Million for the love and care she provided Henry during these last few months. The Family would also like to genuinely thank The Blake at Bossier City for their excellent staff. Honoring Henry as pallbearers will be Ernest Mitchell, Jeff Loftin, Casey Blackmon, Rex Johnson, David Butler and Anthony Cates. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to Barron Road Baptist Church Building Fund, 1102 Barron Rd., Keithville, LA 71047 or St. Judes Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
