Henry Pete Odom, Jr

Benton, LA. - Funeral services celebrating the life of Henry Pete Odom, Jr., age 76 will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, LA with Rev. Brad Franklin officiating assisted by Rev. Cheryl Nelson. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery in Haughton, LA. There will be a time of visitation on Monday, August 29^th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Odom was born in Wagram, NC on September 19, 1939 to Henry Pete Odom, Sr and Florine King Odom and passed away on August 26, 2016 at his residence after a brief illness. He was a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force and a member of the Benton United Methodist Church.

Mr. Odom is preceded in death by his father, Henry Pete Odom, Sr and his mothers, Florine King Odom and Addie Virginia Brock Odom; son-in-law, Jay C. Meredith. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Charlotte Eugenia Ennis Odom; daughters, Brenda Ebey, Denise Odom (Renee) and Pamela Meredith; grandchildren, Nicole Jackson (Jay), Ryan Meredith, Cory Meredith, Zack Ebey, Josh Odom. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Taylor McDonald, Jacelynn Jackson; siblings, Linda Poole, JoAnne Burns, Buddy Odom, Judy Burr (Benja), Eddie Odom and Mike Odom (Debbie).

Honoring Mr. Odom as pallbearers will be Troy Clay, Charlie Clay, Dennis Clay, Jr, Ryan Meredith, Billy Odom, Sr. and Jay Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Posse.

The family suggest that memorials be made to the Benton UMC Youth Group or to the Charity of Donor's Choice.
