Herman Alvin Denmon

Funeral services for Herman “Alvin” Denmon, 84, will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Brian Opbroek.

Alvin was born on December 25, 1937 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Virgil and Azalee Denmon and passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022 in Shreveport.

Alvin was a resident of Frierson, Louisiana and graduated Valedictorian from Stonewall High School, Class of 1956. His career as plant superintendent spanned almost 40 years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and his pets and animals. He loved spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Melva Fisher, and brother, Edward Denmon. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Cynthia Denmon; stepchildren, Adrienne Nunnery, Andrew Black and Daniel Black; sister, Doris Bordelon and husband, Bruce; sister-in-law, Della Faye Denmon; nephews, Bart Bordelon, Mark Moran, Glenn Moran; nieces, Ranae Moran and Lisa Poste; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Honoring Alvin as pallbearers will be Bart Bordelon, Mark Moran, Andrew Black and Phil Nunnery.
