KEITHVILLE, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Hiram "Ed" Walton, Jr. will be held Monday, November 24th at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Keithville in Keithville, Louisiana. Visitation will take place from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Keithville. Officiating will be Brother Mike Stowell and Brother Dennis Aaron. Interment will follow in First Baptist Church of Keithville Cemetery. Ed was born May 28, 1927, in Keithville and passed away November 21st at the age of 87. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Cynthia; parents, Hiram and Bessie Walton; brothers, Paul and Thomas; and sisters, Bessie Mae and Edna; mother-in-law and father-in-law as well as three brothers-in-law. Ed is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rita; daughter, Joyce Diane Walton; son, Dale Walton and wife Lauri; grandchildren, John Richardson and wife Kylie, Jamie May and husband Eddie, Amanda Walton and Patrick, Kelli Woodson and husband John Ward, Jason Richardson and wife Ashley; great-grandchildren, Katie May, Kyle Duke, Landon and Ava Richardson, Ashton and Josie Burford; sisters, Georgia Raney and Barbara Tullis and husband Jerry; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He was a disabled Purple Heart recipient, a US Army Cpl., who served in the Korean War, retired Caddo Parish Deputy and dairy and beef farmer. Ed loved hunting, fishing, farming, ranching and family gatherings. Papaw tolerated his children but loved his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all. Honoring Ed as pallbearers will be his grandsons, John and Jason Richardson, Eddie May, Patrick DeLony, John Ward Woodson, and Kyle Duke. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Wooley, Joe Nuzzolillo, Tracy Sirman, and Landon Richardson. Words cannot express our thanks to Dr. Manish Dhawan and his staff, Dr. Brian Dockendorf and the entire staff of Grace Home for their excellent care.
