Angel wings were awarded to Holly Loftin on Sunday in recognition of the unwavering love and purity of spirit she exhibited among us. She will be missed beyond imagination. Holly was a lifelong resident of Shreveport, attended Captain Shreve High School and was an active resident of Holy Angels for 15 years. Her manner and wit enriched the lives of everyone she touched.
Thanks to the vision inspired by Bishop Greco and The Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows, we have a place called Holy Angels that is a little piece of \"Heaven on Earth\" for our Angels here.
She is survived by her parents, Gary and Marianne Loftin; sisters Amie Loftin Leckie, husband Kyle, and Annie Loftin Rodgers, husband Jr.; nieces and nephews Brooks, Railey, Ella Claire, and Graham. She is also survived by her grandmothers and countless aunts, uncles, cousins and Holy Angels Family.
Her family is grateful for the many years of loving care given by the employees, residents and volunteers of Holy Angels. The dignity, compassion and care provided by University Health during her final hours will never be forgotten. Also, we appreciate the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency (LOPA) for helping Holly provide others with the continuous gift of life.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at St Joseph\'s Catholic Church in Shreveport. Visitation will be at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Marshall Street Tuesday, January 13, 2014 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. followed by a Vigil Service.
The Family respectfully requests that donations be made to The Sister Concetta Fund (
holyangelsresidentialfacility.com) or the charity of your choice.
