Holly Denise Preston

Holly Denise Preston was born on November 25, 1978, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She attended Northwood High School and graduated in 1997. After leaving home, she enrolled in the United States Army. In 1999 she welcomed her first son Byron into the world and in 2001 she welcomed her second son Zachary. Those boys are her whole world. She loved them dearly. Holly gave her life to Jesus and was baptized on February 16, 1997, at First Baptist Church Blanchard.

She went home to be with the Lord on November 25, 2024, on her 46th birthday. She held many titles, mom, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, but her proudest title was that of Lolly.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2024, located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive in Shreveport. Officiating will be Minister Sean Embree.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Melanie Beth Tibbit; brother, James Hill; father, Tommy Hill; stepfather, Tony Devincent; and granddaddy, Calton Mitchell. She is survived by her two sons, Byron Kennedy and fiancé Breana, and Zachary Kennedy; grandson, James and granddaughter, Gracelynn with whom she shares a birthday; mother, Lisa Devincent; sisters, Virginia Hawkins and Lisa Ashby; grandmother, Beverly Mitchell; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Holly was bubbly and fun, she made friends wherever she went and was loved by so many. Her personality was larger than life. We will cherish her memory and miss her until we meet again.
