Hubert Taylor

Hubert Taylor, 76, of Bethany, LA, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. Visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Southside on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 15, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside with Dr. Chad Hardbarger officiating. Interment with military honors will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the Veterans Cemetery, Keithville, LA. Hubert was born February 3, 1941 in West Monroe, LA to Eugene and Rachel Taylor. He graduated from Fair Park High School in 1959. He honorably served his country in the United States Army and was previously employed at Gould Battery. He was an avid car enthusiast, especially street rods. He enjoyed the friendships he developed through the car hobby. Hubert is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ruby; son, Gene Taylor (Denise Palmer); daughter, Karen Hutson (Joey); six grandchildren; one niece and three nephews; and extended family and friends. Pallbearers will be Bobby Johnson, Bill Roberts, John David Stalnaker, David Whitfield, Jack Wiggins, and Darren Wiggins. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff on Wing 4 at the NWLA Veterans Home.
