Huey "Brose" Hayes

Huey Pierce "Brose" Hayes was born on April 23, 1939 in Mitchell, LA to Zollie Alton and Maude Alma Sistrunk Hayes. He passed away on October 9, 2024. He was drafted and served in the US Army and retired as a welder. He loved hunting, trapping, and fishing on Sabine River and San Miguel Creek. He never met a stranger and would visit with anyone and everyone.

He is proceeded in death by his sons, Bryan Warren and Barry Lea Hayes; his parents; also, his twin siblings Avis "Sis" Perello and Travis "Buddy" Hayes, Alton "Sonny" Hayes; and half siblings William Britt, Margorie Ott, Laura Lee Litton, Leamon Britt and Newell Britt.

He is survived by his daughter, Stacy; son, Kristopher Sr. and wife Crystal; grandchildren, Jacob, Amber (Cory), Lucas, Zachary, Autumn, Zaylee and Kristopher Jr.; and great grandchildren Noah, Memphis and Kaelyn.

Services celebrating the life of Brose will be held November 2, 2024 at 2pm at Mitchell Baptist Church, 15551 Hwy 174, Converse, LA 71419. Family asks in lieu of flowers please bring or send stories and memories of Brose to hayesstacy@gmail.com.
