Inita Chandler

Funeral services for Mrs. Inita T. Chandler will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Athens. Burial will follow at Hurricane Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Bro. Bob Jameson and Bro. Jeff Smart. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Inita was born September 3, 1948, in Walkers Creek, Arkansas, to Bryant and Thelma Houck Thompson. She passed away on February 7, 2023, in Minden, Louisiana, with her loving family by her side. She was an active and faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she loved to fellowship, share her love for the Lord, and sing. Inita also loved to cross stich, color, and work on word puzzles. Inita was a faithful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.

Inita is preceded in death by her parents, Bryant and Thelma Thompson, step-son Wesley Chandler, and by her siblings, Mary Ann, Julia Faye, Buddy, Jerry, Ouida, and Marie.

Left to cherish her memories is her devoted husband Bobby Chandler, son Marty Patterson and wife Angie, step-children Teresa Taylor and husband Tim, Mike Chandler and wife Roxanne, Lisa Chandler and husband David, Bradley Chandler and wife Michele, grandchildren Hunter, Kayman, Tracie, Angie, Amy, Clint, Clay, Mallory, Payton, Halie, Scottie, and Josey, and their spouses, by numerous great grandchildren, by brother Jack Thompson, and many other nieces, nephews and other loving family and many friends.

Honoring Inita as pallbearers is Hugh Thompson, Dale Thompson, Kyle Carpenter, Jimmy Carpenter, Brian Parker, Tommy Carpenter, and Houston Duck. Serving as honorary pallbearer is Ralph Chandler.
