Minden, LA IRENE DESADIER Irene was born 9/13/1949 in Shreveport, LA and entered into rest on 4/24/16 in Minden, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday 4/27/16 from 5pm-8pm and the funeral will be held at Rose-Neath Chapel at 10am on Thursday. She was well known in the community and in the late 70s into the 80s was one of the top real estate agents. Her love for the community and real estate, led her to follow her dreams and she became the owner of Cross Country Management and Towne Square Builders. Irene loved and enjoyed life. She loved to travel and that included bringing her entire family on vacations . Irene's love for travel has taken her all over the world. She's traveled to China, Hong Kong, Jamaica, Hawaii and on many cruises over the years. Irene loved the art of oil painting and stained glass work. She had a heart of gold, always giving to her community and mostly to her family and friends. Everyone that knew her, knew if they had a problem they could go to her for guidance and help. She was an active person in our community working with several governmental agencies in developing multifamily properties throughout the State of Louisiana where she orchestrated many governing boards by developing policy procedures for governing bodies for federal, local and state agencies as well as the city of Minden. Irene is preceded in death by her father, David Norman Blackbourne, Sr.; her mother, Mary Elizabeth Blackbourne; brother, David Norman Blackbourne Jr.; and husband, Edward Leon Desadier. Irene is survived by her sister, Jana Rose Smith of Houston, TX; her brother in law Fred Desadier of Minden; her daughter Angie Meek and husband Greg Meek of Minden; her son, Richard Desadier of Minden; her grandchildren, Courtney Meek, Jareth Desadier, Kayla Meek, Rachel Desadier, Marshall Meek, Justin Desadier and Luke Meek of Minden; many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly and claimed as grandchildren. She is also survived by extended family that includes Tracy and Adrian Hammontree of Minden, Jennifer and Paul Davis of Minden, Kim and Bryan Winters of Dubberly, and Bobby Morgan of Minden. Paul bearers are Jesse Blackbourne, Paul Davis, Adrian Hammontree, Luke Meek, Marshall Meek and Seth Strothers. Rose-Neath Funeral 211 Murrell Street Minde, Louisiana 71055
