Irving L. "Sonny" Kendrick

Funeral services for Irving L. "Sonny" Kendrick will be held Monday, December 1, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana. Bro. Dave Parks will officiate. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Parents Eunice and Beaula Kendrick and granddaughter Caroline Perritt preceded him in death. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 62 years, Patsy Barnes Kendrick, children Mike Kendrick and wife Ronda of Haughton, Kim Floyd and husband Gary of Minden, Leigh Ann Perritt and husband Randall of Arcadia, and Amie Sonnier of Port Neches, Texas. Grandchildren, Brian and Alisa Kendrick, Amber and Justin Beatty, Dustin and Michelle Floyd, Lindsay and James Thurman, Tyler and Samantha Perritt, Ashlyn Perritt, Brandon Sonnier, and Patrick Sonnier. Great-grandchildren, Alanna, Corbin, Tucker, Easton, Knox, Noah, and Emily. Brother Ronald Kendrick and wife Shirley and many extended family members. Known as Sunshine, Sonny, Daddy, and Gran D, he loved two things in this life, his Lord and his family. Everything he did reflected that love and a void will be left that can never be filled. However, we rejoice in the fact that he is walking the streets of Heaven and we will see him again one day.
