Isabel Allen joined her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in heaven early in the morning November 16 at Eagle Ridge of the Grand Valley.
Isabel was the youngest daughter of immigrant parents from Spain. Her childhood was difficult as her parents struggled to establish the family in a new country, but she grew into a woman of strong character and determination. Isabel was a talented seamstress, homemaker, cook and artist. She married her first love, Stanley (Bud), and followed him in his career from New Jersey to California, Arizona to Arkansas and finally to Shreveport, Louisiana, where he passed away in 2006. They had three children who she loved fiercely. She taught her children that they could be anything they wanted to be, and instilled in them love for God and respect for others.
Isabel is survived by her children, Linda (Dave) Dannenberger, Nanci (John) Waters, and Bob (Naynce) Allen; grandchildren Lori, Brian, Heather, Rebekah, Katie, Sean and Ryan; and great-grandchildren Nicholas, Taylor, Nathan, AJ, Dean and Maddie.
