Ivan was born August 3, 1960 in Weslaco, Texas and entered into rest May 12, 2017 in Minden, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his father Domingo Vela. He is survived by his mother Maria Rosier and husband, Danny of Minden, Louisiana, sisters, Belinda Ryder and husband, Clay of Natchitoches, Louisiana, Elizabeth Elkins and husband, Leroy of Houston, Texas, Gracie Vela and Alicia Corrente of Minden, Louisiana, brothers Rolando Vela of Minden, Louisiana, Joel Vela and wife Angela of Minden, Louisiana, Michael Flores and wife Eunice of Grand Prairie, Texas, and numerous nieces and two nephews.
