Jack J. Chenault

Shreveport, La- A funeral service will be held for Jack J. Chenault, 90, at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Ford Park Baptist Church, 5755 Yarbrough Rd, Shreveport, Louisiana 71119. Officiating will be Dr. Freddie Willford. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Rose-Neath Southside. Jack was born on July 13, 1924 to J. Chenault and Bessie Chenault in Shreveport, Louisiana. He served in the US Army during World War II in the 101^St infantry. He was a deacon at Ford Park Baptist Church. He passed away on May 24, 2015 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Alton and Herbert. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mattie Galbraith Chenault, son, Clifford Ray and daughter, Brenda Gail. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Tate Miller, Steve Nicholson, Jim Durham, Bill McSween, Mike O'Rear, and Leonard Patterson. Honorary pallbearers are Chuck Miller, Byron King, Jim Bledsoe and Joe Russell.
