Funeral services for Jack Morgan Fuller will be held Sunday, February 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Rose Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana, with visitation at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Bistineau Cemetery in Heflin, Louisiana.
Jack was born on September 5, 1932, in Minden, Louisiana, and went to be with the Lord on February 10, 2025, in Sibley, Louisiana.
Jack was a talented baseball player, spending several years as a pitcher in minor league baseball from 1951 to 1957. His early success led him to the Alexandria Aces in 1952, where he compiled a 10-9 record before stepping away to serve two years in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. After completing his service, he returned in 1955 to lead the league in wins, finishing the season with 21 victories and a 3.06 ERA.
Jack loved gardening, fishing, and living off the land. He enjoyed watching Jeopardy and sports, as well as chatting with family and friends. He was known for his gentleness, kindness, generosity, and willingness to lend a helping hand. Though he lived a long life, he did so on his own terms, never letting age slow him down or keep him from doing the things he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Vera Fuller; wife, Carol Fuller; and brothers, Gerald and Calvin Fuller.
He is survived by his daughter, Roxanne Fuller Carter (Paul) of Houma; grandson, Logan Bland; and stepchildren, Sheila Kitchens, Lloyd Kitchens, and Theresa Ruiz; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Logan Bland, Paul Carter, Michael Fuller, D.J. Fuller, Alvin Womack, and James Hopkins.
