Benton, La - A graveside service for Jake (JC) Benson will be10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017at Plain Dealing Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Bryan Reed. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City. JC was born May 14, 1935 in Sarepta to Eva M. and Jake Benson. He passed away on October 22, 2017 in Benton. He was a retired painter and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 59 Years, Vivian Benson; stepbrothers, Herbert and Bo Bandy; stepsister, Thelma; brother, Henry Benson; grandson, Nick Benson and daughter-in-law, Angela Benson. JC is survived by his stepmother, Louise Bandy; daughter, Lisa Flores and husband, Joe; sons, Jerry Benson and wife, Anita, Carl Benson, Larry Benson and wife, Darlene; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous brothers and sisters. Honoring JC as pallbearers will be, Nick Herzog, Slade Hood, Caleb Cassidy, Ayden Chriss, Nicky Randall and LJ Benson.
