James Edward "Pop" Adkison

COUSHATTA, LA--Funeral services honoring the life of James E. "Pop" Adkison, 85, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Rose-Neath's Chapel in Mansfield, LA with grandson Kody Wiggins officiating. Burial will follow at Pollard Cemetery in Mansfield, LA. Visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. James was born on April 14, 1932 to Samuel and Ethel Adkison and entered into rest on February 18, 2018. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Faye Clark Adkison; sons, Mike Adkison and wife Kathy of Sarepta, LA, James Adkison and wife Allison of Bossier City, LA; daughter, Brenda Wiggins and husband Joey of Coushatta, LA; sisters, Edith Glaze and husband Ed of Joaquin, TX, Shirley Walker of Gary, TX; grandchildren, Josh Wiggins and wife Karen, Jeremy Wiggins and wife Miranda, Whitney Wiggins, Kody Wiggins, Courtney Adkison, Justin Adkison, Brooklyn Hayden, Haley Hayden, Kyle Akers, David Rachal and wife Tiffany, Katherine Burrow and husband Ron, and Della Martin and husband Jeff; and 11 great grands. Honoring the life of James as pallbearers will be Josh Wiggins, Jeremy Wiggins, Kody Wiggins, David Rachal, Clay Cobbs and Brent Hawkins. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Justin Adkison and Joey Wiggins.
