James Franklin Boothe

Funeral services for James Franklin Boothe, Sr.,89, of Many, LA will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 10:00am at the Toledo Bend Church of Christ. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. James Tidwell will officiate. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Friday August 7, 2015 from 5-9pm. James was born on January 28, 1926 in Waco, TX. He entered into eternal rest on August 5, 2015 at Sabine Medical Center in Many, LA. James served his country as a member of the US Coast Guard. He was a devout Christian and an elder of the church. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents James Fulton Boothe and Bertha May Short Boothe; and a granddaughter Sherry Meadows. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 73 years Edith Marie Shirley Boothe of Many, LA; daughter Glory White and husband Larry of Many, LA; sons James F. Boothe, Jr. of Trinity, TX, Marvin W. Boothe and wife Ruth of Elgin, OK; grandsons James F. Boothe III, Larry White, Jr. Jeffrey White, Chad Boothe, Craig Boothe; granddaughters Kimberley Mattocks, Jeanine Hunter, Tiffany Gann; 21 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Joe Shrok, Joe Merten, Scotty Manuel, Morgan Manuel, Danny Manuel, and George Strickland.
