James "Bubba" Mitchell Easley

Funeral services for “Bubba” James Easley, 64, will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Pastor Dennis Aaron.

Bubba was born on October 22, 1958 in McKinney, Texas to James and Donna Easley and passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Bubba was a resident of Keithville, Louisiana and was married to the love of his life, Debra Easley, for 44 wonderful years. He worked for AAA Cooper as a trucker for 25 years. Being the best Pit Crew Chief, playing with the grandchildren, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family is what Bubba loved doing. He never met a stranger, was everyone’s “911” call and always left you with those tidbits of “Bubba knowledge.”

Bubba is preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Debra Easley; daughter, Casey Locke (Josh); son, Michael Easley (Anna); grandchildren, Jayden, Kinley, Kenzie, Beaux and Charlie; sisters, Linda Capps and Aleene Yates; and mother-in-law, Glenda Epling.

Honoring Bubba as pallbearers will be Robert Delude, Carlin Caldwell, James Hawthorne, Brandon Caldwell, Danny Zecca and Al Nervis. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jayden Locke and Beaux Easley.

Bubba will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but his spirit will be with us always.
