Oil City, LA- Graveside services for James W. Flarity, age 76 will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2020 at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Vivian, LA with Rev. Joey Grappe, pastor of Walnut Hill Baptist Church officiating. There will be a time of visitation on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Mr. Flarity was born on July 18, 1943 in Vivian, LA to Jerry Woodrow Wilson Flarity and Laotie Dyer Flarity and passed away on July 7, 2020 at The Carpenter House in Shreveport, LA. He was a portable building manufacturer. He was the best Dad in the world. Mr. Flarity is preceded in death by his parents, sister, JoAnn Walling and brother, Jerry Lee Flarity. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 45 years, Teresa Flarity of Oil City, LA; sons, Mark Flarity of Shreveport, LA and Scott Flarity and wife Christine of Mooringsport, LA; grandchildren, Katie and Justin Flarity. He is also survived by his sister, Brenda Thibodeaux of Shreveport, LA; brothers, Frank Flarity and wife Ella of Texarkana, TX and Bobby Flarity and wife Jerry Gale of Hosston, LA. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Services are under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S. Spruce Street, Vivian, LA
