Graveside services for James Frank Harris, Jr. will be held Friday, May 15, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Gilgal Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Officiating will be Rev. Ronnie Whitlock. The family will receive friends from 3 until 7 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. James was born June 6, 1927 in Minden, Louisiana and entered into rest May 12, 2020 in Minden, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his wife Merry Harris parents James Frank Harris, Sr. and Bertha Harris, sisters Nancy Sanders and Lilla Mae Goebel. He is survived by his son Jeffrey Harris and wife Esther of Minden, grandchildren Scott Harris and wife Melissa of Athens, Anthony Thompson of Mooringsport, Samantha Hall of Minden and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Chris Silvis, Chris Bagwell, Anthony Thompson, Terry Bray, Jimmy Hall, and Kyle Anderson. The family extends a special thanks to Minden Family Medicine and staff, and St. Joseph Hospice and staff for the care given to their loved one.
