Shreveport, LA - Services celebrating the life of James Barron Harville, Jr., 54, will begin at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Rick Edmonds and Pastor Steve Angell. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday, February 2, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel.
Jamie was born on November 5, 1960 and went home to be with the Lord on January 30, 2015. As a lifetime resident of Shreveport, Jamie worshipped and served the Lord through his fellowship at Calvary Baptist Church.
Jamie loved life and remained young at heart all his life. He had a tremendous effect on so many people in so many ways. He showed the agape love of God to the best of his ability. He lived and loved. He will be greatly missed. Jamie was an avid sportsman and artist. He expressed himself musically through music when singing and playing the guitar.
Jamie was preceded in death by his parents, James Barron and Mireace Harville. Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life for 32 years and his high school sweetheart, Dianne Harville; children, James Barron Harville III "Trey" and wife Tammi, Josie Mireace Harville, and Troy Michael Harville; granddaughter, Haily Di Harville who celebrated her second birthday on the day Jamie went to be with the Lord. He is also survived by his sisters and brother, Resa Waterman and husband, Chris, Cindy Edmonds and husband, Rick, Jana Self and husband, Jimmy, and Michael Harville and wife, Vondel.
Pallbearers will be James Barron Harville III, Troy Harville, Travis Lindemann, Drew Ratley, Michael Harville, Alton Allen, and Richie Edmonds. Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie's nephews.
