James Emory Hay, Sr.

Gloster, La - A graveside service for SSgt. James "Jim" Emory Hay, Sr. USMC Ret. will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015 at St. Ann's Cemetery in Stonewall, Louisiana. He will have full Military Honors at the service. James was born on February 18, 1943 and passed away on April 6, 2015. James joined the United States Marine Corps straight from high school. Served two tours in Vietnam with three documented TDY's. He became 100% disabled in 1972. James beat all odds and medical prognoses for the last 40+ years. James was proceed in death by his wife, Mary Jo Hay; mother, Ocie Hay; grandson, Parrish Lynn Hay and brother, Emmit Bradford. James is survived by his father, John "Red" Hay; brother, Charles Bradford; sisters, Alline Jones and Tammy Miller; children, Iwalani, James "Jim", Jr., John Michael, and Mary Alice, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
