James Patrick Hendricks

Shreveport, La - A funeral service for James Patrick Hendricks, 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 15, 2015. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 18 at Rose-Neath's Southside Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 19 at Temple Primitive Baptist Church and officiated by Elder Troy Phillips. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. "Pat" Hendricks was born on October 17, 1931 and a lifelong residence of Shreveport, La.; a member of Temple Primitive Baptist Church and retired from Libbey Glass. He was a wonderful husband and father to his kids that he loved so very dearly. His happiest times were spent with family and friends. Pat is preceded in death by his sisters, Marion Harris of Moore, OK and Doris McFerrin of Marshall, TX. Left to cherish his memories is his wife of 60 years, Betty "Elaine" Scott Hendricks, four children, Debra Carol Turnage and husband, Paul, James Michael Hendricks and wife, Cindy, Eric Randel Hendricks and wife, Kathy, and David Scott Hendricks, sister, Thelma Grace Atwood, 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, several sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws. Pallbearers will be his three sons, son-in-law, Gene Harris, Brandon Nunley, Lee Hendricks, and Christopher Turnage. Honorary Jonathan Phillips, Jody Gregory and Beau Gregory.
