James Milton Hostetler was born December 31, 1970 in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away, Thursday, October 28, 2021 in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Jim attended Captain Shreve High School and Louisiana Tech University. Jim loved to hunt and fish, only thing was he was allergic to fish so someone would have to take the fish off! He loved being outdoors and loved sitting by the fire down at Lake Bistenau with family. Jim loved being a coach for his son in all sports. He traveled across the country with Jake and the travel baseball team. They went all the way to Omaha, Nebraska, seeing the College World Series, to Orlando, Florida, to coach in the Little League World Series. Jim was loved by his family and friends and was ultimately proud in his son's accomplishments. Through trial and error, he was a strong individual, and had an even stronger heart.
Jim is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Snow Hostetler; grandparents, Charles and Mary Alice Hostetler and Dudley and Vivian Snow; and aunt, Suzanne Hostetler.
Left to cherish his memory are his father, Milton Charles Hostetler and wife, Kathy of Shreveport, LA; son, James "Jake" Jacob Hostetler of Houston, TX; brother, Charles "Chuck" Dudley Hostetler of Dumas, TX; and numerous other extended family.
