A memorial service for James Everett "Jim" Hunter will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, Louisiana. Reverend Tommy Patton will officiate the service.
Jim was born October 23, 1940 to Harvey and Lorree Hunter in Lake Village, Arkansas. He passed away in Bossier City on March 17, 2021 at the age of 80.
Jim enjoyed his successful and fulfilling career in product development in the food science industry for over 30 years. In his free time, he would take his family on hunting trips in Arkansas, and he loved fishing on Cypress Lake. Family and friends will always remember him for his quick wit and clever humor. Most of all, his family will miss his unconditional love.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Lorree Hunter; sister, Ruby Jean Hunter; and brother, Charles Hunter. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 49 years, Diane Hunter; son, Brett Hunter; daughter, Kristen Sherwood and husband, Brandon; grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor, and Austin Hunter and Aubrilyn, Kaydance, Makenzie, and Gracie Jean Sherwood; brother, David Hunter and wife, Becky; niece, Carrie Pieroni and husband, Chris; nephews, David W. Hunter and James T. Hunter and wife, Stacy; and numerous other family members.
The family will have a celebration of life for Jim in Lake Village, Arkansas at a later date. Information for the celebration of life will be updated as the details are set.
