James "Jay" McClure

James "Jay" Monroe McClure was born March 19, 1965 in Shreveport, Louisiana to L.S. McClure and Melba Wright McClure and went to rest high on the mountain in the arms of the angels on Saturday, March 21, 2020. Jay was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoor enthusiasts. He enjoyed drag racing in his 1975 Ford Mustang #2077. He had a talent for billiards and darts and could be found participating in many tournaments over the years. Some of the best times in his life were spent with family, friends and his three precious dogs, Molly, Peaches and Bonnie. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, Cindy, fishing and watching LSU and Alabama football along with P.B.R. Rodeo. He will always be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit and loyal friendship. He was a devout Christian and his faith was strong in the Lord for his entire life. Jay was the absolute best husband in the world, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Jay was a graduate from Huntington High School in Shreveport and a loyal employee of General Cable for 27 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Melba Wright McClure and L.S. McClure and two brothers, Billy Gray and Randy McClure. Jay is survived by his wife, Cindy Harsin McClure; brothers, Sammy McClure and wife, Tina, Earl McClure and wife, Grace; sister-in-law, Michelle McClure; nieces and nephews, Rachal Gunnels and husband, David, Christian McClure, James "JR" McClure and wife, Jessica, Billy McClure, Larry McClure, Mary Sawyer and husband Austin, Melissa "Neci" Brooks and fiancé Mackie Byles, Christina "Christy" Brooks and fiancé Dusty Crews and Brandy Corbett and husband, Dayton and numerous great-nieces and nephews. The family plans to have a celebration of Jay's life at a later date. Family and friends may visit www.Rose-Neath.com and offer condolences and share fond memories.
