Keithville, LA - Funeral services for James "Jerry" L. Bozeman, 74, will be held 12 noon Monday, March 9, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Rocky Maddox. Interment will follow on the grounds of Forest Park West Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home for visitation from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2015.
James was born April 23, 1940 in Logansport, Louisiana to Charles and Virgie Bozeman and passed away March 6, 2015 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was a Deacon and door greeter at Rose Park Baptist Church. He had many hobbies which included carpentry, cabinet making, fishing, hunting, and traveling. He loved studying his bible and spoiling his one and only love, Nicki.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virgie Bozeman; father, Charles Bozeman; sister, Gale Bozeman; and brother, Tommy Bozeman. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Nicki Bozeman; sons, Charles Bozeman and wife Tracy and Rodney Bozeman; daughters, Tammy Young and husband Scott, and Becky Brossette and husband, Daryl; grandchildren, Nicole Harper, Tess Rodrigues, Natasha Rider, Phillip Brossette, Hunter Brossette, and Hannah Brossette, 4 great-grandchildren; Kaitlyn Harper, Taylor Harper, Isabella Forward, and Amelia Rider, along with many extended family members and a host of wonderful friends. He is also survived by his siblings, Marie Bozeman, Jack Bozeman and wife Brenda, Louellen Thompson and husband Paul, David Bozeman; Danny Bozeman and wife Virginia, and Dale Bozeman and wife Robin.
Honoring James as pallbearers will be John Harper, Phil Lattier, Phillip Brossette, Hunter Brossette, Van Lewis, and Robert Lewis.
