James "Ralph" Ettredge

James “Ralph” Ettredge, 79, of Shreveport, Louisiana entered into eternal rest on February 1, 2024. He was born on May 13, 1944, in Shreveport to Lee and Opal Ettredge. 

Ralph worked in automotive body repair. He enjoyed playing the drums, drawing, painting, hunting, and fishing. He was very passionate about his love for Christ. His pride and joy were his grandkids and great grandkids whom he loved very much. 

Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Josie Marie Ettredge; brother, Bobby Ettredge; parents, Lee and Opal Ettredge; stepson, Johnny Paddie; and grandson, SSG Richard L. Vazquez. 

Left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Claudette Mitchell and husband, and Teresa Melton and husband; stepson, Junior Paddie; nieces, Brenda, Paula, and Shannon; nephews, Bobby Jr. and Marvin; grandchildren, Dianne Gillette, Mary Cacace, Crystal Lynch, Johnny Paddie, Jr., James Paddie, Christine Thomas Romario Vazquez, Celza Sauceda, Ashley Hyde, and Matt Paddie; along with numerous great-grandchildren and great-nephews. 

Graveside services honoring the life of Ralph will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. located at Saint Francois Cemetery on Friendship Road in Frierson, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Mel Campbell of Frierson Baptist Church.
