James Harvey Rebouche

James Harvey Rebouche, 89, passed away in his Bossier City home on Monday, April 4. He is survived by his son, Darrell Rebouche and wife Claire of Shreveport, stepson Robert A. Osuna of Bossier City, grandchildren Christopher Rebouche of Shreveport and Madeleine Rebouche of Colorado Springs, CO., long-time companion Nelda Bailey of Bossier City, as well as many devoted nieces and nephews. He was especially close to several sons of his sisters: William R. Mertens of Pineville, LA; Randy Watson of Bossier City, Rodney Watson of New Orleans, Harvey Watson of Rocky Mount and Ron Brannon of Shreveport. A native of Marksville, LA, Harvey spent most of his life in Bossier City, where he built a successful plumbing and heating business. He retired at age 58 and lived an abundant life thanks to his careful and creative business practices. He was known as a generous and charming man, especially in his later years. He was preceded in death by his father, Aristide Rebouche of Marksville; his mother, Corrine Dupuy Rebouche of Bossier City; his wife, Ruby Katherine Elliott Rebouche of Bossier City and thirteen brothers and sisters. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 6 from 5-7 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive in Bossier City. A rosary will be offered in the chapel immediately following. A memorial mass will be celebrated by Msgr. Carson LaCaze on Thursday, April 7 at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 425 McCormick Street in Bossier City. Honorary pallbearers will be William Mertens, Harvey Watson, Randy Watson, Rodney Watson, Ron Brannon and Herman DeLatin of Stonewall, LA. The family thanks Dr. Scott Mighell and Lori McHughes of Louisiana Family Practice for years of attentive care, as well as the devoted and compassionate efforts of the staff at Willis-Knighton Hospice of Louisiana.
