James \"Jimmy\" Wallace Creech was born on Nov. 5, 1950 and raised in Logansport, LA. Graduated from Logansport High School in 1968 and went to Canada working \"on a boat\" for six months.
James later purchased Rusty Williams Emergency Railroad Service and moved to Texarkana, TX at 28 years old. After retiring from train derailment, he raised cattle in Longstreet LA. He loved tending to his farm and cattle.
James was preceded in death by his parents Dan and Jo Ann Creech. He is survived by his brother Bubba, wife Marilyn and their daughter Shannon Creech. His sister Sissy, husband John Lawrence and Sissy\'s daughter Stephanie Howard. His son Danny, wife Jodi and grandsons Dillon and Dalton Creech. His son Buddy, wife Brandi, grandson Levi, and granddaughter Kinlee Jo Creech. Pallbearers will be Craig Register, Joey Register, Danny Ray Ingram, Richard Register, Cooper Register , James Allen Cockrell. Kevin Cox and David Benefield will be honorary pallbearers.
James was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year and passed away at 64 years old at his farmhouse surrounded by family on December 14, 2014. A special thanks to David Benefield for helping at the farm and Dee Strickland for taking good care of him these last weeks.
Visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Logansport Monday Dec. 15, 2014.
Services will be at Rose-Neath at 10am followed by burial O.E. Price cemetery Tuesday Dec.
