HOMER, LA: Funeral services were held for Mrs. Jane A. Gray, 74, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Homer, LA on Thursday, July 30, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Andrew Abshire, officiating. Interment followed at Arlington Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m.
Mrs. Gray was born May 5, 1941 in Whelen Springs, AR to Thomas A. and Estelle Nelson Burris. She entered into rest on Sunday, July 26, 2015 in Homer, LA. Mrs. Gray was a loving LPN for over 40 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mrs. Gray loved God and was a loyal church member of First Church of God in Homer. She had a deep love for cats.
Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gen. Rupert H. Burris.
She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Donald K. Gray, Sr.; a son, Jerry Richmond of Colorado Springs, CO; a step-son, Keith Gray, Jr. of Homer, LA; two daughters, Terry King of El Dorado, AR and Estelle Semmes and Paul of Jennings, LA; a brother, Col. Thomas Alden Burris of El Dorado, AR; six grandchildren, Rachel, Will, Trinity, Elizabeth, Adam & Chris; eleven great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Will King, Trinity King, Adam Richmond, Cody Knighton, Allen Gilbert and Jason Benson .
