Funeral services for Janet Pollard Wilkinson, 61, will be held at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel on Friday, January 5, 2018 at noon. Officiating will be Pastor Kenny Joiner of First Baptist Church of Greenwood, LA. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport, LA following services. Jan was born on April 4, 1956 to Archie and Mary Pollard in Shreveport, LA and left to be with her Lord and Savior on December 30, 2017. She attended First Baptist Church of Greenwood. Jan was preceded in death by her father Archie Pollard, mother Mary Pollard and father in law Weldon Wilkinson Sr. Left to cherish her beautiful memories are her husband of 42 years, Sonny; her son, Michael and wife Kimberly; daughter, Crystal and husband Mauricio; her mother in law, Estelle Wilkinson (Mom); brother, James Pollard and wife Mona; sister, Glenda Schaeffer and husband Wayne and numerous family members and dear friends. She is also survived by the loves of her life, her grandchildren, Christian, Logan and Lucas who love their Nana to the moon and back. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Darrell Wilkinson, Mike Morris, Steve Kilpatrick, Kevin Schaeffer, Bobby Doyal and Dr. David Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Christian, Logan and Lucas. The family would like to thank all the doctors and staff at Christus Highland Hospital for the wonderful care given to Jan during her illness. Jan was a passionate animal lover. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any animal rescue organization of choice.
