A graveside service for Janice Lynette Posey King, 72, will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens North in Blanchard, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother Jimmy Malone.
Janice was born on September 15, 1948 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Samuel Berry Posey, Sr. and Madeline Cox Posey and passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Recently rediscovering the gift of Jesus Christ, Janice found comfort with the Lord after the loss of her husband. She enjoyed watching television and never met anyone she wasn't able to talk to.
Janice is preceded in death by her husband, Carlie Truelove and second husband, Daryle King. She is survived by her sisters, Mary Boone and Sherry Faulkner; nephews, Shane Boone, Adam Boone, Benjamin Davlin, Jamie Davlin and Jeffrey Davlin; niece, Brandy Suter; great-nephews, Jaden Boyer, Chase Suter, Hunter Boone and Brendan Boone; great-nieces, Mary Madeline Suter, Alexis Boone and Samantha Boone and other extended family members.
Honoring Janice as pallbearers will be Gerald Boone, Shane Boone, Jaden Boyer and Patrick Suter. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jim Faulkner, Hunter Boone, Adam Boone and Berry File.
The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of Willis Knighton Bossier Intensive Care Unit and to the staff of St. Joseph Hospice in Shreveport.
