Funeral services for Janice Mitchell 69, of Fisher, LA will be held on Wednesday January 7, 2015 at 2:00pm at the Shady Grove Church of God in Fisher, LA. Rev. James Hickman will officiate. Interment will follow in Central Cemetery, Robeline, LA. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 3:00pm until time of service. Janice was born on January 8, 1945 in Woodville, TX. She entered into eternal rest in Shreveport, LA on January 4, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents J.E. and Doris Woodel; granddaughterAngelia Vansickle; great-granddaughter Darla Mae Sparrow; sister Opal Lockwood; and brother Lenard Ray Woodel. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Carrol Mitchell; daughters Katherine Hippler and husband Larry, Cynthia L. Lewing, Myra Wilkerson and husband Glenn; grandchildren Jeremy Hippler, Jason Hippler, Chris Hippler, Elizabeth Greer, Riley Greer, Casey Lewing, Mandy Lewing Ulrey, Ashley Lewing, Timothy Vansickle, Phillip Vansickle, Kyle Wilkerson, Michael Sparrow, Kevin Sparrow; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Jeremy Hippler, Jason Hippler, Casey Lewing, Timothy Vansickle, Phillip Vansickle, Michael Sparrow. Honorary pallbearers will be Herb Ulrey, Will McBrayer, Kyle Wilkerson.
