Jannette L Terry
Jannette "Jan" Terry went to be with her Lord and Savior on the morning of February 26, 2017 at the age of 79.
Funeral services honoring the life of Jan will be Friday, March 3, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at Mooringsport Baptist Church, 500 Ivy Street, Mooringsport, Louisiana 71060, with Bro. Roy Strother officiating. Graveside will follow at Good Exchange Cemetery in McLeod, Texas. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Vivian, 705 South Spruce Street, Vivian, Louisiana 71082, on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Jan was born December 11, 1937 in Mayfield, Minnesota. She was a loving mother and grandmother who prayed for her family daily as well as a faithful member of Mooringsport Baptist Church. She enjoyed participating in all aspects of the ministry including: Sunday school, VBS, choir, and money counting.
Left to cherish her memory are sons, James "Jimmy" Terry, Michael "Mike" Terry and wife, Debbie, Donald "Bubba" Terry, Stephen "Steve" Terry and wife, Amy; brother, Dick Clark; grandchildren, Kim Gilbert and husband, James, David Terry and wife, Robin, Anna Austin and husband, Brad, Nicky Nunally and husband, Mitch, Phillip Terry and wife, Lauren, Karen Thornburg and husband, Adam, Troy Terry and wife, Tiffany, and Kelli O'Quinn and husband, Brad; great-grandchildren, Daylen and Levi Gilbert, Sarah McClain, Brooke Terry, Landry Kate and Hattie Bell Austin, Danielle and Sara Beary, Reagen Nunally, Ginnie, Austin, Addelise, and Aiden Thornburg, Trinity, Trista, and Tory Terry, Hagan O'Quinn; great-great grandchildren, Cayden McClain, and Alanea Stroud.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Booger Red" Terry; parents, Neil Schones and Algia Clark; son, Ronnie Terry; brother, Don Clark; and sister, Lynn Amlong.
Pallbearers: Mike Terry, Bubba Terry, Steve Terry, David Terry, Phillip Terry, and Troy Terry.
