Doddridge, AR - Funeral services celebrating the life of Jarrel Dean Ward, age 70 will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 10:00 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S. Spruce Street, Vivian, LA. Officiating at the service will be Rev. James Ross, pastor of Lifehouse Ministries of Texarkana. Interment will follow at Slaughter Cemetery, Rodessa, LA. There will be a time of visitation on Tuesday, May 26th from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Ward was born in Siloam Springs, AR on November 26, 1944 to Gettie C. Ward and Eunice J. Masters and passed away on May 23, 2015 at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, TX. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rodessa, LA and proudly served in the U. S. Army, Vietman War.
Mr. Ward is survived by his three daughters, Lynne Tussey and husband, Terry of Texarkana, AR; Teresa Johnston and husband, Raymond of Doddridge, AR and Carla Wood and husband, Israel of Texarkana, TX. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Lotus Ward of Gravette, AR; four grandchildren, Tamara Morgan, Samantha Stephens, George Miller and Christopher Johnston and 7 1/2 great grandchildren.
Honoring Mr. Ward as pallbearers will be Danny Masters, Charlie Lear, Pete Smith, Jabbo Miller, George Miller and Christopher Johnston. Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Crawford, Dale Kimbrell and Charlie Alexander.
