As a child, he spent many happy summers with his parents and grandparents in Petoskey, Michigan and Juno Beach, Florida. After graduation from high school, he joined the Louisiana National Guard where he served proudly for eight years. At the time of his death, he was employed by Nabors Industries as a pressure control technician. Jason had a gift for making many close friends including those with whom he served in the Louisiana National Guard and those with whom he worked at Nabors. The love of his life was his son, Porter. When he was not working, he and Porter were inseparable, often going to zoos and aquariums near and far, fishing, and playing in the back yard. Jason loved fishing with his son and dad, including a recent special trip to South Texas. Jason is survived by his son, Porter Rhett Grubb; his parents, Charles and Maureen Grubb of Benton, LA; sisters, Jennifer Farmer and husband, Richard of Elysian Fields, TX and Julia Grubb Dickerson and husband, Jeff of Shreveport, LA; nieces and nephews, Caden and Adelyn Farmer and Lillian Dickerson; and many cousins including special cousin, Lisa Massingill and husband, Bob of Jonesville, TX. Honoring Jason as pallbearers will be TerRance Allen, Justin Arnold, Chase Burnett, Jordan Elliott, Jeremy Elliott, Phillip Grisham, Foster Rougely, Jr., and Danny Stutzman. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials maybe made to the charity of the donor's choice.
