Jason Edward Wells (Wallace)

Jason was born October 22, 1976, at Mother Francis Hospital in Tyler, TX. He had brain damage at birth and we were told he would never know us. They suggested putting him in a children\'s home but I was not having that! He had seizures every day of his precious life and eventually passed away at the age of 42 after 20 days in MICU at Ochsner\'s LSU. He went home to be with our Lord and Savior on August 17, 2019 at 8 p.m. I want to thank everyone on the MICU floor, especially Dr. Grier for their continuous love and support and knowledge to try to help Jason but the Lord had better plans! He is now home with Jesus! Jason lived as full of a life that we could give him. He loved to swim in his pool with assistance from his mother, Judy, and stepfather, David Wallace. He could do things with his arms and legs in the water that he could not do otherwise. We\'d have to coax him out of the pool with the promise of a McDonald\'s cheeseburger. David is such a heaven-sent husband that built Jason anything he needed including an apartment, with the help of family and friends. Jason had several wonderful sitters to help us with him also. Jason loved \"Jesus Loves Me\" and any musical toy with lights. His smile was so unique and precious. He loved David and me taking him to the fair when the weather permitted every year to see the lights and ride the merry-go-round with his Mother! He rode with his mother on giraffes, elephants, and ponies. He fed the baby goats at the fair also. His angel face would light up with all smiles when the lights would come on at the fair. We took him to Marshall, TX to see \"The Wonderland of Lights\" and all over Shreveport to see Christmas lights. When you gaze up at the stars choose the brightest one and remember Jason. Even on the darkest night, his light will shine through. Heaven received a perfect Angel and it brings us comfort to know he is with Jesus. Left to cherish Jason's memory are his mother, Judy Jackson Wallace; \"Daddy\" David Wallace; his grandmother, Annette (Annie Oakley)Hibbard; grandfather Joe D. Jackson; his step-grandfather, V A Wallace and deceased step-grandmother Alice Ann Wallace; his stepbrother, John David Wallace and wife Kalli and their children Layen and John Preston; stepsister, Kelly Wallace Cobb and her husband Jason and their children Taylor and Natalie; Aunt JoAnne Jordan and Uncle Melvin; Aunt Teri Jackson; Aunt Tammi Montgomery and Uncle Darren; Uncle Richard Wallace and wife Laura; Aunt Vicki Wallace; deceased Aunt Nancy Wallace Watts and Uncle Charlie; cousins, Matt Jordan and his wife Leigh, Melissa Jordan, Sarah Smith Marty and her husband Ryan and Staci Smith, SarahAnn Watts Dickson and husband Scotty, Chase Watts, Stephanie Wallace Wheeler and husband Chadd, Kenneth Wallace and Deanna Wallace, April Paul and Chris Paul; numerous precious cousins; and his beloved furbaby, Star. He is also survived by his biological father, Richard Wells and Aunt Nancy Wells and cousins, Alecia Anderson Biggs and her daughter Jacie and Carol Anderson O\'Brien and husband Steven. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2019 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Pastor John Lary officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Gill Cemetery in Marshall, TX. Visitation will be held with the family from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
