Jaynell Green Akes

A memorial service will be held for Jaynell Green Akes at 2:30 PM on April 14, 2019 at Tower Baptist Church, Highway 169, Mooringsport, Louisiana. Brother Jim Gstohl will officiate and be speaking on behalf of the family. Jaynell was born on July 11, 1944 and she went to her heavenly home on April 11, 2019.There to greet her were her parents; T.E. and Nellie Green; husband of 32 years and the father of her children, James and her beloved son, Donny. Left here to honor and cherish her memory are her daughters; Julie and Karen and her son-in-law, Carl; her grandchildren, David, Justin, Lacey, Cody, Shane, Sonny and Megan and numerous great grandchildren. Jaynell worked as a water operator for over 25 years. She was a charter member of Tower Baptist Church and volunteered her time selflessly as a nursery worker, Sunday school teacher, church pianist and church secretary. She loved her church and her church family. Her commitment to our Lord and her church was a great example for her children and grandchildren. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed until we see her again.
