Jean Alice Wells

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Jean Alice Wells, 78, will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, December 21, 2015 at Maple Springs Baptist Church in Logansport. Pastor Lee McClintock will be officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Logansport. Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. Jean was born on February 13, 1937 in Long Beach, CA and passed away on December 17, 2015. Jean was a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, William Wickwar and Bertha Wickwar, brothers, Harry Wickwar and Norman Wickwar, daughter, Elizabeth Ann Wells, and son, Richard "Rickey" Carl Wells. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 61 years, Clyde Spencer Wells; son, Stephen Wells and wife, Karen; daughter, Debra Robinson and husband, David; daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Wells; grandchildren, Brent Stewart and wife, Jessica, Kimberly Meek and husband, Marcus, Chelsey Wells and fiancé, Tommy Swanner, and Paige Wells; great-grandson, Chris Laguna, along with extended family and friends. Honoring Jean as pallbearers will be Brent Stewart, David Robinson, Marcus Meek, Kenneth Wells, Tommy Swanner, and Chris Laguna. The family would like to say a special thank you to the Christus Schumpert Hospice Nurse and CNA that took such loving care of Jean.
