Jeanne M. Politz

Shreveport, LA - Jeanne Marie Politz was born on May 1, 1981 in Shreveport, Louisiana and died on October 16, 2016 at age 35. She is survived by her parents, Bennett L. and Debra J. Politz; her brother, Nicholas P. Politz and wife, Beth; nephew, Christian Politz; and niece, Sophia Politz; paternal grandmother, Jane S. Politz of Shreveport, LA; and maternal grandmother, Opal D. Jeansonne of Lake Charles, Louisiana; aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, and second cousins; and her former husband, Bret J. Williams. She was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Judge Henry A. Politz, and maternal grandfather, Vernon J. Jeansonne. Visitation will be Friday, October 21, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, Louisiana from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 522 East Flournoy Lucas Road, with Rev. Philip F. Michiels officiating, burial to follow in Rose-Neath Cemetery, 2850 Swan Lake Road, Bossier City, Louisiana. After graduating from Captain Shreve High School in 1999, Jeanne attended Louisiana Tech University and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2003. She was called to teaching elementary school children and after the necessary certification taught kindergarten children in the Houston area and Caddo Parish, Louisiana. She loved teaching young children. She was a good teacher. Most recently, she taught three year olds in a local church day care program and engaged in an online cosmetic direct sales business. Honoring Jeanne as pallbearers will be her godfather and uncle, Kevin Jeansonne, uncle, John R. Politz; cousins, Christopher Jeansonne, Jordan Horne, Brandon Politz, Jared Politz, Matthew Politz and Tim Politz. She loved them all and they loved her. Jeanne was particularly close to her cousin Frank Rayburn. Jeanne loved him dearly and may that love sustain him. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to the Rutherford House, a residential facility for wayward youth, which is a cause close to the Politz family, 1707 Line Avenue, Shreveport, Louisiana 71101, or to the charity of the donor\'s choice.
