Jeff Rogers

HOMER, LA: Jefferson Clay Rogers, 56, was born on October 16th, 1960 in Haynesville, LA to JC Rogers, Jr and Alma Joy Eller Rogers New and went to be with The Lord on September 29, 2017. Jeff had a large charismatic personality and was known for his quick wit. He was the true meaning of an entrepreneur as he could accomplish just about anything he decided to do. He worked many successful years in the telecommunications and hotel business. In 2009, he won the hospitality pride award for outstanding hotel executive. He loved good food, great music and being with his friends and family. Jeff never met a stranger and will be missed by all that knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, JC and Claire Rogers; maternal grandparents, Shorty and Estelle Eller; his mother, Alma Joy Eller Rogers New and stepfather, Bobby New; stepmother, Elizabeth Bolling Rogers; sister-in-law, Vicki Rogers and stepsister, Cindy Bolling. Left to cherish his memory is his father, JC Rogers, Jr of Homer, LA; sister, Sherry Rogers Champion and significant other, Red of Uncertain, TX; brother, Brad Rogers and fiancé, Crista of Homer, LA; niece, Bri Creamer; Nephews, Chase and Colin Rogers; Great Nieces, Shelby Rhodes, Georgee Creamer and Emily Rogers; great-great niece, Matilyn Mae Branch as well as numerous cousins. A memorial service was held on Friday, October 6th, 2017 at Kilpatrick\'s Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer, LA at 2:00 p.m.
