HOMER, LA: Funeral services were held for Mr. Jefferson Cleveland "J.C." Rogers, Jr., 85, at the Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Homer, LA, on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at 3:00 P.M., with Rev. R.B. Moore, officiating. Interment was at Arlington Cemetery. The family received friends at funeral home from 2-3 P.M. prior to the service. Mr. J.C. was born May 10, 1932, in Homer, LA, to Clara L. Gilbert and Jefferson C. Rogers, Sr. He entered into rest on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, in Homer Mr. J.C. retired from Hunt Oil Company after 32 years. He loved and lived life to the fullest and will be missed by all that knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elizabeth Ann Robinson Rogers; a son, Jeff Rogers; step-daughter, Cindy Bolling: and five sisters. Survived by his son, Brad Rogers and wife, Crista of Homer; daughter, Sherry Rogers Champion and partner, Roy "Red" Forgione of Uncertain, TX; step son, Britt Bolling and wife, Lori of Homer; three grandchildren, Bradney Chase Rogers and wife, Dominique of Homer, Colin Bailey Rogers of Homer, and Bri Creamer of Benton, LA; three great-granddaughter, Shelby M'Lynn Rhodes and husband, Jacob, Georgee Katherine Creamer and Emily "Emme" Elizabeth Rogers; a great great-granddaughter, Mati Mae Branch; along with numerous relatives. Pallbearers were Colin Bailey, Joshua Sellers, Chase Rogers, Vic Lee, Britt Bolling, and Brad Rogers. Honorary pallbearer was Elmer Critten. In lieu of flowers honoring Mr. J.C., his family suggests the 2018 Summer Youth Fund of First United Methodist Church, 501 W. 3^rd Street, Homer, LA 71040.
