A memorial service for Jeri "Kay" Pierce will be held Friday, November 6, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel. There will be a visitation from 12:00 p.m. till the start of service and John M. Gary will be officiating the service. At the request of family, face masks must be worn. Kay was born to Burnette and Myrtis Pierce on April 3, 1955 n Natchitoches, Louisiana and passed away on October 31, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Kay had many accomplishments; her greatest were her children and grandchild who brought her much joy. She had a very loving and supporting church family at Countryside Christian Church and work Community, most importantly, her Unigroup family. Kay worked as a freight broker for over 20 years. She enjoyed many hobbies such as watching HGTV with her family, restoring furniture, gardening, traveling, cooking going to church, and making slime with Charley. She had a genuine passion for caring for others and making people smile. She was very strong willed and lived a dedicated life to God, family, and friends. Kay is Preceded in death by parents, Burnette Pierce and Myrtis Pierce Hernandez ; stepfather, John C. Hernandez; sister, Wanda Parish and beloved daughter, Emily Ann Gary. She is survived by sons, John David Gary and wife, Michelle, Ryan Gary and wife, Angela, Randy Gary and John Michael Gary; Daughters, Ronda and Laura Gary; granddaughter, Charley Marie Hill; brothers; Eddie Pierce and wife, Sandy, Mike Pierce and wife, Carliss; sister, Debbie Satterfield and husband, Rick and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family, and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Kevin McGann, Willis Knighton Pierremont, Countryside family, friends, and family for all their support.
