HOMER, LA: Graveside services were held for Mr. Jerry Clark, age 72, at Salem Cemetery in Athens, LA, at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2020. Rev. Ray Anderson, officiated.
Jerry was born on November 13, 1947, in Waldo, AR, to Marvin and Viera Stewart Clark.
He entered into rest on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, in Homer, LA, with his loving family by his side. Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked and retired from the oilfield. Jerry was a member of the Homer Church of Christ.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Tillman Clark, a sister Mereland Matthews and grandchild, Addison Black.
He is survived by his mother, Viera Clark, his wife, Dena Simpson Clark of Homer, LA, sons, Greg Clark and wife Beth of Minden, LA, and Geff Clark of Springhill, LA, daughters, Gennifer Hall of Shreveport, LA, and Lauren Carroway and husband Justin of Homer, LA, brother, Bobby Clark and wife Aline of Emerson, AR, in- laws, Vicki Bailey and husband Ken of Homer, LA, and Lori Hanna and husband Will of Springhill, LA, grandchildren, Connor Clark and fiancé Abby Long, Logan Clark, Abigail Clark, Marley Black, and McCrae Carroway, and many, many friends.
In lieu of flowers honoring Jerry, his family suggests memorials be made to Shriner's Hospital or to Homer Church of Christ.
