DeRidder, LA - Graveside committal services celebrating the life of Mr. Jerry L. Flarity, age 76 will be held at 1:30 pm, Friday, June 15, 2018 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S. Spruce Street, Vivian, LA with the burial to follow in the Vivian Cemetery. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Jerry Hicks. There will be time of visitation Friday, June 15^th beginning at 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Mr. Flarity was born February 24, 1942 in Vivian, LA. to Jerry Woodrow Wilson Flairty and Loatie Dyer Flarity and passed away on June 13, 2018 at the DeRidder Retirement Center after a lengthy illness. He was a resident of DeRidder, LA and a former resident of Rodessa, LA. Mr. Flarity was a pumper in the oilfield and in his spare time he loved to fish, hunt and garden. Mr. Flarity was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Emma Curry Flarity; sister, JoAnn Walling and grandson, Patrick Bethany. He is survived by his children, Cindy Smith and husband, Kelly of Tulsa, OK, Alesia Bushnell and husband, Timothy of Dry Creek, LA, Brannon Flarity and wife, Becky of Morehead City, NC, Jason Flarity and wife, Angelia of DeRidder, LA, Wendy Harding and Dendy Hancock and husband, Tony both of Vivian, LA. Mr. Flarity is also survived by his sister, Brenda Thibodaux of Shreveport, LA.; brothers, James Flarity and wife, Teresa of Oil City, LA, Frank Flarity and wife Ella Mae of Texarkana, TX and Bobby Flarity and wife, Jerry Gale of Hosston, LA; 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Honoring Mr. Flarity as pallbearers will be Jason, Brannon, Kelly, Timothy, Zachary, and Brett.
