Funeral services honoring the life of Jerry Lynn Holcomb, 78, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Rose-Neath Chapel in Logansport, LA with Rev. Timothy Roberson officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Stanley, LA. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Logansport Funeral Home on Sunday, May 6, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Jerry was born April 22, 1940, in Fort Worth, TX, to Weldon Marion Holcomb and Lurra Lee Moore. He passed away on May 2, 2018, in Shreveport, LA. He loved fishing, woodworking, gardening, and served his country as a veteran of the USAF. Preceding Jerry in death were both of his parents along with his wife of 27 years, Teri Lee Holcomb. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Tanya Kay Hull, sons Larry Douglas Holcomb, Kenneth Ray Holcomb, and Chris Weldon Holcomb, and three step-sons, Joshua Paul Houston, Thomas Trent Houston, and David Lee Houston. Jerry had 24 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Honoring Jerry as pallbearers will be Larry Holcomb, Chris Holcomb, Joshua Houston, Thomas Houston, David Houston and Larry Holcomb Jr. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be granddaughter Emma Lee Houston.
