Jerry Wayne King, Jr.

Funeral services for Jerry Wayne King, Jr., 53, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Brother Jeff Fibel and Brother David Keeny officiating. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 at the funeral home. Wayne was born January 29, 1965 in Shreveport and passed away on February 7, 2018 in Shreveport. He played football at Southwood High School where he graduated in 1983. He was a member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church. He had a BIG heart of gold and never met a stranger. Wayne was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Chef Mac and Mamma Sybil and paternal grandparents, Papa and Granny King. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 29 years, Paula King; parents, Jerry and Patsy King; daughter, Bobbie Ann King; son, Micheal King; his granddaughters who were his pride and joy, Savannah, Sophia, and Jamie; sister, Sandy King; brother, Jason King, Sr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Honoring Wayne as pallbearers are Larry McMillion, Jerod King, Jason King, Jr., Matt Divine, Corey Brown, and Cassidy King. The family would like to give a special thanks to the doctors and hospital staff at Christus Schumpert ICU.
